Pure Jura authenticity 🌲

Mont d'Or Rième is a true treasure of the Jura massif , at once smooth, creamy and woody.
Under its thin, pleated, pinkish-beige crust lies a soft, melting ivory paste with a delicately resinous, salty and milky taste.
It's the cheese for winter evenings par excellence ❄️: to be enjoyed by the spoonful , in a warm box from the oven or simply on a crispy slice of toast .

🐄 History & know-how

Born from the tradition of Jura cheese dairies, Mont d'Or was once produced in winter, when milk production declined.
Surrounded by a spruce strap , it develops its unique aromas over the course of maturing:
🌿 the strap holds the cheese and perfumes it with subtle woody notes ;
🌲 the spruce boxes are shaped by local craftsmen, perpetuating ancestral know-how;
🕰️ each Mont d'Or Rième is aged for 21 days on spruce boards , for a smooth texture and an inimitable distinctive taste.

Made from raw cow's milk , it benefits from the AOP Mont d'Or , a guarantee of origin and impeccable quality 🏅

🍽️ Tasting tips
🔥 Hot: place it in its box, add a dash of Jura white wine and enjoy it runny with potatoes or fresh bread.
❄️ Cold: enjoy it with a spoon, on a cheese platter or a country toast.
