From the end of summer, it appears on the stalls with its generous bunches, its golden or purple hues and its inimitable sweet taste.
The grape is one of the symbols of abundance, sharing, and terroir. It evokes the grape harvest, the south, markets, and walks through the vineyards. And above all, it's a fruit that's as good as it is noble, and can become juice, raisins... or wine 🍷
🍴 How to consume and store it?
Grapes should be stored in a cool place in the vegetable drawer of your refrigerator, where they will stay fresh for 4 to 5 days. To enjoy their full potential, remember to take them out a few minutes before serving.
It can be eaten as is, as a snack, or as a dessert. But it also lends itself to sweet recipes (clafoutis, tarts, compotes) and even savory ones: with cheese, duck breast, or in an autumn salad with nuts. For an original touch: roast it in the oven with honey and thyme. A delight.
📅 What is its season?

💡 Did you know?
In France, vine cultivation dates back over 2,000 years. But table grapes also have their own reputation!
Hamburg Muscat, Moissac Chasselas, and Italia grapes are regional prides. In ancient times, raisins were used as currency, and the Greeks offered them as offerings to the gods. Bonus: a well-washed, frozen bunch of grapes is a wonderful substitute for ice cubes in a glass of white wine 😉
💚 Why we love it at Neary
Because it's a fruit of pleasure, but also of season, tradition, and terroir. At Neary, we select local varieties, picked at their peak, sometimes even organically grown. We love grapes for corporate baskets from September to November, where they herald the gentle transition to fall.
