FAQ — Crispy Air Fryer Gnocchi
What type of gnocchi works best?
Fresh store-bought gnocchi are perfect, but frozen or homemade gnocchi also work very well 🥔. The trick is not to overload the basket to keep it crispy.
Should I boil them before Air Fryer?
No, absolutely not! Put them raw in the basket (just drained if vacuum-packed). Cooking them directly in the Air Fryer gives them that puffed, golden finish.
Oil required?
A drizzle of oil (olive or rapeseed) is recommended for crispness and color 🌟. Without oil, they risk drying out and sticking.
Can we add herbs or garlic?
Yes: add candied garlic, thyme, oregano, paprika, parmesan… right after cooking! For extra flavor, try our Air Fryer candied garlic recipe .
How to keep gnocchi crispy?
Squeeze them immediately! If you have to wait, leave them in the warm basket, uncovered, to prevent them from getting soggy.
